Only two out this morning on a damp Saturday where it barely got light. We headed out to Bolton Abbey and decided to stop at the Abbey Tea Room. The forecast was for heavy rain later on and so pushing further into the Dales seemed like a bad idea.

The roads were wet and pretty filthy, however we managed to avoid any heavy downpours.

Main topics of conversation were motorbikes and coffee (Chris) and new bikes (Steve). The cafe was ok, although Chris’s scone had seen better days.

I managed 37 miles and 2000 feet of climbing before I called it a day. I am looking forward to some better riding weather soon.
