Carry on glamping!

Ten riders met up at Rawdon with the plan to ride out to Harrogate and visit Bamber and Brown cafe for the first time. Three SRAN riders set off leaving seven AIR riders to follow at a slightly more civilised pace.

The weather was cold but sunny and spirits were high as we all reflected on our New Years resolutions, mine was to learn how to use a better ride planning tool than Garmin connect; Dom’s was to get faster and not have to ride at an AIR pace; Chris’ resolution was to try to face the camera more in group photos…

After several climbs and some very pleasant views we arrived at the Cafe to be confronted by a mini version of Glastonbury, (a large wigwam a small catering van and a portaloo.) The bacon sandwiches were great, however the wigwam unsurprisingly, was a bit draughty.

We set off back to Leeds refuelled but no warmer with an additional rider (Dan) and we rode back via Kirkby Overblow on a familiar route.

It was another enjoyable day out and it was great to see our numbers increased for the first ride of the year.
