Roger De Courcey and Nookie Bear

On a glorious Saturday morning, only two riders showed up at Rawdon Library for the Stump Cross Caverns ride (too hilly maybe?).

Alan and Steve headed out on the planned route and climbed up to the top of Greenhow, enjoying the beautiful views before descending down to Stump Cross Caverns for a well earned cafe stop.

Tradition was hurled aside by Steve, who went for a cheese and onion toastie instead of the usual bacon sandwich. Alan stayed on terra firma by opting for a sausage sandwich.

The dales were spectacular in the sunshine and the ride back was just as enjoyable as the first half.

We met Chris Haigh on the way back and the three of us stopped for a drink in the Hoptimist in Guiseley.

Total distance for me was 59 miles with 4900 feet of climbing.

Steve

Cheers!
