This week’s club ride destination was Kettlewell, five riders met up at Rawdon and Ian and Kim joined us at Otley. Best excuse for not attending was provided by Jonathan who was tired after a late night watching Heaven 17.
The AIR riders followed Alan’s planned route, while the SRAN riders managed to add the odd extra hill or detour that allowed us to meet up on route.
Ian was suffering from a bad back, which seemed to give him extra watts, resulting in him leaving us for dead when the roads ramped up.
Due to illness/ injury / laziness, we decided to stop at Kilnsey for lunch and when we arrived the SRAN had already kindly reserved a table for us.

On the way back, the plan was to stop at the Hoptimist in Guiseley for a cheeky pint. Hamish and Jimmy added in the extra loop to Kettlewell, timing perfectly their arrival at the bar. (Unable to resist the Temptation of a post ride drink!).

Another great day in the saddle; it was 64 miles for me with 4500 feet of climbing. (I was glad my wife Let Me Go…)
