….and we’re back!

The cow and calf is no problem despite all the mince pies….

After a short bad weather break Saturday morning rides resumed with the first club ride of 2025.

The riders arrived at Rawdon one by one to be greeted by the alluring sight of Ian assembling his bike and getting dressed in the car park.

The planned ride to Crosshills was quickly scrapped. Most of the excuses centred around a lack of time and a lack of fitness. However, everyone appeared pleased with the proposed shortened ride out to Bolton Abbey.

It was a cold day and the roads were busy, especially over the Cow and Calf.

The Cafe stop was at the Abbey Tea rooms, everyone was pleased with a bite to eat and a warm up.

So just a short blog post for a short but enjoyable ride. It was good to be back in the saddle with club mates. Hopefully I will get to catch up with the rest of the SRAN and AIR riders over the coming weeks.

p.s. the ride was 32 miles for me with 2300 feet of climbing average speed was 13.5 mph

Cheers Steve
